These art journal pages are made with Art by Marlene papers, journal and collage sheets. I have made the background on gelli plate prints and have embellished with stencils and molding paste.
This little album was constructed on cardstock. The stamps are Paperartsy and each little picture has been embellished with stenciling and Tombow colors. Birds and Flowers Art Journal FlipThrough. This little album was made in a Joggles album. I used gel printed paper for the backgrounds. Paperartsy bird stamps, stabilo pencils and Tombow markers were used to add color. Adding a little humor or whimsical feature to an art journal page makes you smile. These little men are from Carabelle. The background was made with crushed tissue paper glued to the page and then painted. When dry, take a stamp pad and gently rub across the top of the ridges. This creates the blackened areas of texture. Of course this is done prior to pasting on the stamped figures.
Doing an online course with Kate Crane for art journal pages. Wonderful. I love her bright color choices and free flowing designs. You can find her courses on Etsy: thekathrynwheel. .
This was the result I produced after watching her videos. Art journalling every day gives one a calm and feeling of satisfaction. It’s an alternative to meditation, I feel. If you have no ideas just pick up one of the dies or other items you purchased a while back and use that as your prompt.
Craft tools such as brushes, stencils, acrylic blocks often get really dirty. Besides all the products on the market I have found that the most amazing product to use is Mr Clean sponges. I am not selling the products nor have any connection to the company, but I have found these sponges amazing in removing the most stubborn of paint and ink stains. I highly recommend them.
If you have particular allergies to that product then obviously don’t use them. However, if you keep them in your home and use them for other cleaning, do try. I love this theme for creative work. Using stencils and Dylusions paints to create these pages, the vibrant colors show off the designs.
Anna Griffin diecuts are amazing. The dies cut perfectly and easily. These cards were made using her tea party dies and border dies. Gorgeous
Using the Anna Griffin house card diecuts, I created this Halloween haunted house with oranges, reds and black cardstock. This comes out really well and can be given as a gift or put in the window of your home for Halloween visitors.
This was made with the Anna Griffin Halloween house die set. Absolutely lovely and easy to use. Of course many different houses can be made and the card given for all reasons.
Starting this new art journal in a Jane Davenport Canvas Book. This page was based on gesso, Tim Holtz tissue paper, Distress inks. I used Stampendous flower stamps for the flowers and fussy cut them. I added color with Stabilo sticks.
I composed this page over another that I didn’t like. I really like the bright result here. I used acrylic paint, cut outs from Stampendous flower stamps and Stabilo pencils and Faber Pitt pens for color.
These cards were made to add to the collection I make for the organization who send them to the elderly. This time I made tags with cat punched collages. I enjoyed making these tags with decoration on one side and greeting on the other. The recipient can hang the tag instead of just putting a card on a table b
