![]() Disposing of broken, old, or blunt sewing needles used to give me the shivers. However, I have found what I think is the best possible solution. We don't want to leave them loose in the garbage, certainly don't want to throw them down the toilet or sink, or leave them in a package that could stick into other items. Solution? Plastic containers that held your prescription medication. Remove your name and information from the container, put your old or broken needles inside, put back the lid. Of course, you can use the same idea for old bent or rusted pins. And to be kind, write "Old broken sewing machine needles" on the container with a sharpie.
