Based on acrylic Dylusions and gold glitter paint for a night time background, I added die cut flowers and leaves to create a night scene.
A very new technique for me: acrylic abstract art. I really enjoyed doing this after watching YouTube abstract videos. Experimenting with different techniques improves the hand and eye and teaches one about art and artists.
Paperartsy Stamps are so cute and I have used the house stamps here to create this art journal page. All kinds of houses make a home is the idea of this page. I used Dylusions paints and Faber Castell Big brush markers for details.
Using Paperartsy bird Stamps, I created this outer space theme page with a whimsical flair. I used Dylusions paints and markers for the birds.
This art journal page has a dreamlike quality. I created the first page a few weeks ago in a chipboard album. I added to it by using a base of Jane Davenport tissue paper and embellishing with stickers and markers.
5 bottles on the wall is the name of this art journal page. I used die cuts for the bottles and their shadows. Based on acrylic Dylusions paint and colored with Faber Castell Big brushes for the wall, this page worked out quite colorfully.
As a volunteering project I make cards for Hospitalized kids. These cute little tag cards are cheerful and should bring a smile. Sizzix tag dies and Paperartsy birds make for this sweet result.
I wanted to use colors that I haven’t used much, hence the purple color. The blending of colors then made me suit a theme to suit. I used metallic blends on the tree. Stencils were used with black ink for a darker, shadier look. I use Dylusions paint for bold color.
Using Paper Artsy lovebird Stamps, I created this colorful page. I made the flowers by cutting doodle paper and coloring in with Tombows. I called the page “Birds Enjoy Flowers”.
I will be sending off 44 cards I made for a local organization that sends birthday cards to seniors. Here are just some of them. I used embossing folders for dimension as any stickers or pop ups are not good for mailing.
This was made on a chipboard base covered in black gesso. I cut the flowers from doodled paper using die cuts for flowers. They came out quite nicely. Try this method of creating flowers.
Using Crafters companion fairy theme stamps, I created this “imagine a place” art journal page. Based on Dylusions inks and leaf stamps, I stamped and fussy cut the houses and mushrooms.
This page was created with Dylusions acrylic paints. I used flowers made with Elizabeth Crafts dies. I used Faber Castell pens for the black border.
Working on this little chipboard album is a little tricky. Colors seem rather dull at this point but I will experiment with different media on the chipboard. The theme is based on stickers from Elizabeth Craft, colored in. The paper was first covered with Tim Holtz tissue paper.
