🌸They stare ahead with their beautiful eyes
Seemingly knowing and seemingly wise🌸- Lucille This journal page, based on black gesso has colorful house diecuts and cat punch shapes from Stampin Up. Cats are colored with alcohol inks. 🌺Wishes and thoughts and dreams we share
Are not mere castles in the air🌺- Lucille Enjoy this page. Made with Tattered Lace castle die ands a variety of shape dies. ”Every dream has a way
Of peeping out into your day” I have decided to start out each of my blog posts with a poem of mine to suit the theme. If you like this, please let me know by “liking” the post. Thanks🌸 This page was based on Jane Davenport collage paper, stamped with fairy houses from Crafters Companion. Embellished with paints of various sorts. This page was made with cut outs from a Stamps by Judith drawing book. I used my new method technique I learned from a Craftsy course to highlight and contrast. I am living this journal work because of the bright colors of the paints and markers.
With a dreamlike, sci-fi type feel, this art journal page started out with circles and slowly built up to this surrealistic picture. Added elements of highlight and sentiments finished the piece.
Bright and colorful, this sea theme was fun to create with stamps, dies, acrylics. Another page in my newly created journal.
Here is an art journal page using the theme of Art Deco and naming the page Party Time. I used acrylic paints, die cuts from Tattered Lace and used mixed pens and markers for effect.
I really am so happy with how this journal page worked out. After watching a variety of you tube presentations, it encouraged me to start a new journal based on old book pages.
I have used Heartfelt Creations coffee stamp and die. I also used Sizzix thinlet flower dies. This tag was made with spellbinders Lace die cuts attached to embossed card made with Crafters Companion folder. Colored with Distress Ink.
I added my work to a journal. I used black gesso and white molding paste for the pattern. It looks a little like pine cones so I was really pleased with the result.
I have been watching Vicky Papaioannou who is just amazing. I highly recommend her wonderful lessons on Youtube. Lovely colors for fall mixed onto an alcohol ink base. Stamps and dies of leaves to embellish. Add some markers and glitter and you get a warm, glowing card.
This was made on mulberry paper. I stitched in the die cut flowers and glued on the lower die cut. I added glitter paint here and there. I intend making this into book as this sheet has three more folds.
Recently I completed a Craftsy course on mixed media. What I really learned about was how to contrast my colors. I really learned a lot - outlining, choosing markers for extra outlines and shadowing, and white lines to highlight.
Crafters love to buy anything and everything on the market. Products are so wonderful and fill us with inspiration. But what did you do with the last package of things you purchased? What about those from a few months ago or years ago?
An idea. Every week put your hand on something in your stash - like you put your hand in a raffle bucket. And whatever you take out, let that be the inspiration for your next project. Instead of a picture on Instagram or a magazine, imagine the product you have is new and make something with it. It’ll save you some money but also make you smile. |
AuthorSewing, machine embroidery, paper-craft, and stamping are my hobbies. At the moment die-cutting paper craft is my favorite, and I am sharing my projects with you on this website. Archives
