A lot of time is spent on experimenting with materials. Here I have used die cuts and embossing with various powders and polishes. Method is also important and it, too, needs practice.
I live Laurel Burch products. The bright colors are so cheerful and the funny faces delightful. I purchased the stamps and matching dies and had fun with Tombow markers. I made this little folder with other cuts on the inside too. Nice gift for all.
This tag was made with two pieces of fabric sandwiching cardstock. The material glued together is fed through the Big Shot using a tag die. The result is very nice. Fun to use as tags for gifts or for marking a box or a craft container.
I am having fun with embossing powders to color my dies. I find it very effective for color filling. This is a delightful Laurel BUrch dog die cut.
I crafted a box to contain a gift. Decorated with Art Deco cuts and a cute shoe die cut fromTattered Lace.
My craft for the day was making these two purses as a gift for a friend. I used all in the hoop designs for the zipper purse and the USB purse. Both are Pickle Pie Designs.
There are never enough stickers for kids to use on their crafts. These were made with small die cuts which were then painted with glitter. I fed them through a Xyron sticker maker to get them ready. Doing this used up all the small paper cuts collected in the craft room. Stickers can also be "glittered" by the kids who will use them.
I designed this Art Deco style embellished box. Instead of creating a card - how many cards can one send? I made a box and decorated it. It can stand on a shelf, be used, or given away. I added a lot of glitter and enjoyed the result.
A request for a bottle holder to attach to a wheeled walker belonging to a senior, brought me to the making of this bag. I designed it tote style with a square bag bottom. It is padded and has two straps with click on buttons instead of Velcro.
This little fabric covered cardstock box was made using a box cutting die. Finicky but fun to work on. It's cute as a gift box or for an accessory for an American doll sized doll. The beach themed fabric suited it well.
I am so into Art Deco at the moment. I made these two folios and embellished the outside with my Tattered Lace Art Deco lady die. Used Spellbinders design for the background.
I am very happy with the results and am giving these little folders to friends.
Dont put your projects in a drawer and forget about them. Put each project in a display box on your shelf. Inside make sure you keep everything necessary for that project including a note to say where you are up to as well as all the pattern pieces.
This is way you will not forget what you have started. You will also find it easier to restart the project. You can also count the boxes to see what you still have to finish!!!
Sewing, machine embroidery, paper-craft, and stamping are my hobbies. At the moment die-cutting paper craft is my favorite, and I am sharing my projects with you on this website.
