This quirky art journal page I called “Just Journal” was created with Dyan Reavely stickers, using the Art Journal block - all on a background of fabric paint that I wanted to experiment with. I used some washi tape too.

I took an online flower collage lesson with Donna Downey. She is a remarkable artist and teaches in a straightforward and interesting way. I don’t consider myself an artist who can draw so i found her methods perfect for me. This was the result and I am really happy with it.
I have combined the theme of Africa and Dyan Reaveley ideas to create these cut pages. I used Dyan Reaveley Dylusions paints and colored paper cut up to form this journal page.
This page was created with Dylusions paints as the base. I used Dyan Reaveley stamps and stickers to create this airy, dreamlike effect. The birds are outline stickers from Elizabethcraft Designs. The white stamp effects are embossed.
One gets such wonderful boxes from goods purchased. I decided to collage two of my collection.
The first was covered with Tim Holtz birds tissue paper and the second with tissue paper from Jane Davenport. What is so lovely with collage is the final blend coming together as one. I used Golden Gel Medium for all the collage work. I used Crackle Glaze for the top coat. Using Laurel Burch dog designs, I created this page on textured blue paper created from gesso, and thick dylusions paints.
If you have created a page that you really don’t like, cover it in white gesso and create a collage on top. I did this on s page and the texture formed underneath is lovely. I added Jane Davenport tissues for the collage.
Fun colors and stencil accents in molding paste create this journaling page. Stickers from Dyan Reaveley add to the setting.
I love the Paper Artsy stamps, especially the very quirky ones. This set of flowers was glued on a bright Dylusions paint background.
Anyone into art journaling eventually watches and is inspired by Dyan Reaveley. You tube has an enormous quantity of videos with her very special style and teaching. I purchased her book and also watched her techniques. I didnt copy, but from my learning created this.
I called this Zzzzs as it has a dreamlike feel. I love Art Deco and have made many cards with this theme. Here I tried to make it more art journalish in style - not with specific card like formations. I used gold and yellow acrylic paints first. I added stamps from Tim Holtz and some Art Deco paper.
Bright and cheerful coloring illustrates the idea of encouraging hope and not fear on this journal page. Dylusions paints were used as the base. Tim Holtz Stamps and numbers added effect. Elizabethcraft design stickers were used to create the flowers.
This page was made with a Dylusions paint on gelliplate background. I added the shapes for the necks of the giraffes. The flowers are stamps and die cuts from Heartfelt Creations. I used Faber Castell markers for highlighting.
This page was made using some stamp and fussy cut features on distress inks background. I used Golden molding paste in flower stencils for layers. The stickers are Tim Holtz sayings.
