The flowers on this art journal were made with ear bud paint spots. Many of this kind of flower can be seen on YouTube. Lots of fun and really good for those who don’t have a lot of painting experience. Done on black gesso. Jar stamps are from Stampendous.

Here is a 5 minute project that will solve some messy cord problems but also please someone who receives one as a gift.
Cut out a shape or use a die cut to create a cute shape - like this owl cut. Use leatherette so that sides are clean cut and the items are useable. Measure the shape so that it can contain a wound up cord. Place snaps on each side - and it’s done. No sewing no glue. Sometimes I don’t want to get into any piece in particular, so doing a small tag project can be creative and useful. The tags can be used for gifts, for art journaling at a later stage, for embellishments for other projects. These tags are Tim Holtz. The stencils are Tim Holtz too. Dylusions paints and stickers were also used. I used molding paste on the stencils.
I visited Monterey Bay aquarium today and videod these gorgeous jellyfish. This art Journal page was made with Dylusions paints, Bold reds and browns created the dramatic wall. Sizzix dies wall stencil was used and flowers from Paper Artsy Stamps which were fussy cut.
This art journal page was created using Dylusions paint as the base. I added the white brick wall with a stencil and Stampendous embossing powder. The flower stamps are also by Stampendous. I used Golden High Flow paints to color the flowers.
After learning to sketch doors and windows, I drew a door free hand and sketched with all my black pencils and pens. I used Golden High Flow paints to color. I named the page Doors to other Worlds.
Using Paper Artsy Stamps as the main focus, this art journal page called “Worms’ World” was based on Dylusions paints. A quirky look is very appealing to those who want to smile and create.
I am learning to draw quirky Zen Houses with the Jodi Ohl online workshop. Jodi does amazing work and the course teaches great techniques. The tools she uses are pencils, pens and Golden High Flow paints. Here is a sample of my first house. Check online for her courses.
