Here is an art journal page using the theme of Art Deco and naming the page Party Time. I used acrylic paints, die cuts from Tattered Lace and used mixed pens and markers for effect.
I really am so happy with how this journal page worked out. After watching a variety of you tube presentations, it encouraged me to start a new journal based on old book pages.
I have used Heartfelt Creations coffee stamp and die. I also used Sizzix thinlet flower dies.
This tag was made with spellbinders Lace die cuts attached to embossed card made with Crafters Companion folder. Colored with Distress Ink.
I added my work to a journal. I used black gesso and white molding paste for the pattern. It looks a little like pine cones so I was really pleased with the result.
I have been watching Vicky Papaioannou who is just amazing. I highly recommend her wonderful lessons on Youtube.
Lovely colors for fall mixed onto an alcohol ink base. Stamps and dies of leaves to embellish. Add some markers and glitter and you get a warm, glowing card.
This was made on mulberry paper. I stitched in the die cut flowers and glued on the lower die cut. I added glitter paint here and there. I intend making this into book as this sheet has three more folds.
Recently I completed a Craftsy course on mixed media. What I really learned about was how to contrast my colors. I really learned a lot - outlining, choosing markers for extra outlines and shadowing, and white lines to highlight.
Crafters love to buy anything and everything on the market. Products are so wonderful and fill us with inspiration. But what did you do with the last package of things you purchased? What about those from a few months ago or years ago?
An idea. Every week put your hand on something in your stash - like you put your hand in a raffle bucket. And whatever you take out, let that be the inspiration for your next project. Instead of a picture on Instagram or a magazine, imagine the product you have is new and make something with it. It’ll save you some money but also make you smile.
If you want to do a little project but don’t want to commit to a large piece of work, try making some paper flowers. These were made with Elizabeth Design pansy dies. They can be used at a later time to decorate a card or even a gift package.
My usual favorite is Art Deco. Here are two tags made with a Tattered Lace Lady die. Different backgrounds were created. One with alcohol inks and the other with an embossing folder from Crafters Companion. I used Spellbinders borders sandwiched between the back and front pieces.
These tags have a wine theme. I used Heartfelt Creations paper and dies for the flowers. The tags are Tattered Lace.
I am into tags at the moment. This one was made with an embossed Crafters Companion embossing folder. Metallic wax to color in. Tattered lace die Bella. The outside die cuts are Spellbinders. It worked out nicely. Could even be good as a weddding card.
Sometimes a hanging tag card is a different way of giving a greeting to someone. The recipient will enjoy being able to hang it on a doorhandle or place of interest in his/her home.
Always make the back of the tag as pretty as the front even if it is just pretty unembellished paper.
I made this set of 8 cards with Laurel Burch stamps and dies on gelli plate Paper. These will be sent to the organization mentioned above.
Added another set of art coins to my journal. These were made with Stampin Up stamps from the Beautiful You collection. These can be used on any craft project.
Sewing, machine embroidery, paper-craft, and stamping are my hobbies. At the moment die-cutting paper craft is my favorite, and I am sharing my projects with you on this website.
